Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions
We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
The Northern Inner City district consists of the central parts of Stockholm, Norrmalm, and Östermalm. Here we work to provide our 155,000 residents with the best services in areas such as preschool, social services, elderly care, and urban development. We welcome you who want to make a difference for the residents of the Northern Inner City.
Welcome to us
The area of adult services and disabilities consists of four units; the adult unit, the social psychiatry unit, and two units for disabilities.
The area is led by a district manager, four unit managers, and a team leader. The adult services and disabilities area is characterized by high job satisfaction and a good work environment. We strive for high accessibility and good treatment towards our users, partners, and each other. We encourage development work and appreciate that all employees contribute to improving our operations.
The disability unit is divided into two units and consists of a total of 16 caseworkers and one administrative officer. We are now looking for a caseworker for the disability unit for children and adults as one of our child caseworkers is leaving.
We offer
We work in modern offices in an open landscape close to Karlaplan and the recreational area of Djurgården. We have flexible working hours, wellness benefits, and apply summer working hours.
Your role
As a caseworker in disability services for children, you work with the child's best interests in focus and always from a clear child rights perspective. You meet children and young people aged 0–20 years and handle cases under both the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL).
In the role of caseworker, you are responsible for receiving applications, conducting investigations, assessing needs, and making decisions on services according to applicable legislation. The work also includes providing information and guidance regarding the support and services available. The assignment involves close collaboration with colleagues within the district administration as well as with external actors.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work or a behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Previous experience as a caseworker in the area of children with disabilities
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
It is an advantage if you have:
- Knowledge of the city's documentation system, Paraplyet
As a person, you are stable and have the ability to handle pressured situations that arise in the work. You take responsibility for your tasks, take initiative, and drive processes forward independently. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks. You are flexible and can adjust tasks based on changing priorities and circumstances. You enjoy collaborating and contribute to a good work environment by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach.
We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
